Behind The Leaves

Asia Blackman, Founder

I’ve always longed for sisterhood I never had sisters growing up and I moved around a lot so maintaining friendships was hard. A gift I suppose I inherited from my mother, was the gift of a good eye and curating spaces. This was something I knew I wanted to offer to the world in some way but I had to have a purpose. So I created Fleurish because I felt like there was a gap in the market. Specifically in the event industry. It’s notorious for gatekeeping and in such a ‘it’s who you know’ industry, building community is so important. Your community is going to create a space that reminds you of who you are and why you started. I am dedicated to organizing these events and meetups to help nurture your ideas and encourage creative flow so that when you go home you’re motivated and prepared to complete that project or venture knowing you have the support of your community behind you.
